Stuart Redd Contemporary Jazz, Jazz, & Latin CD is titled “Dreams to Reality.” “Dreams To Reality” is the first album released from guitarist and composer Stuart Redd. It’s also an eclectic mix of original music. Stuart Redd is the guitarist & composer.
World-renowned musicians are also featured. Dave Weckl plays drums. Jay Oliver & Jeff Lorber play keyboards. Randy Brecker is on trumpet. Gary Meek & Eric Marienthal play sax. Ric Fierabracci, Tom Kennedy and Kim Stone play bass. Ramon Yslas also plays percussion.
Stuart composed the songs for this CD, while having his favorite players in mind. He could not have imagined that one day he would actually meet these great players and then have them play on his CD.
The song titles are:
Mr. Mysterious is a tribute to Miles Davis. Party Favors is a tribute to the Brecker Brothers. Crystal Shores is in honor of Stuart’s father.
Stuart Redd wrote and produced all the songs. He also plays the electric, nylon, and steel string guitars as well as the guitar synth.
Stuart Redd, born and raised in Laurel, Mississippi, spent most of his young adult life on the road touring the northeast. Tours included Detroit, New York, Pennsylvania then on to New Orleans. Stuart now resides in Florida. Some of his musical influences include Lee Ritenour, Russ Freeman and The Rippingtons. He is also influenced by Jeff Lorber, Michel Camilo, Oscar Peterson, Mike Stern, Scott Henderson, The Pat Metheny Group, Fourplay, Chick Corea and the Elektric Band, Gino Vannelli, Eric Johnson and Shawn Lane.
